Joint Cooperation Program
Joint Cooperation program (JCP) was signed and agreed by Republic of Indonesia and Kingdom of the Netherlands which involves main knowledge player in water sector of both parties. Main objectives of this program is to carry out a long-term knowledge sharing and capacity building program between the institutes.
Currently 9 institutes from both states are partnered, they are PusAir and Deltares (Water Resources) ; BMKG and KNMI (Meteorological and Climatology) ; BIG and ITC (Mapping and topography); Balitbangtan and Alterra (Agriculture and Irrigation); BPPT (Research Application).
Key issues in JCP are floods (too much), drought (too little) while too dirty is not included yet. The governmental tasks involved in this program are to provide operational support (event and day-to-day decisions) and policy support (planning and development).
