Introduction
The project foresees in an comprehensive monitoring network. Various documents regarding Groundwater monitoring network of New Orleans are available.
- New Orleans monitoring report
- The goal of this assessment is to obtain a good understanding of the performance of the drainage system in relation to dynamic groundwater behavior, and vice versa, with the intend to provide direction for improvements. Therefore, an approach is laid out to test the perceived system in Figure ## [above] using various techniques.
- A second goal of this project is to make a first attempt to incorporate (simple) weather forecasting. This component provides information for real-time operational water management, which allows for more effective drainage regimes.
- Finally, the goal is to provide concrete advise on the implementation of adaptation measures. This section elaborates on the potential of groundwater in implementing green infrastructure projects, as well as key suggestions for design.
