Some tips for traveling to Alterra in Wageningen, NL:

Fly to Amsterdam Schiphol airport; there Ther are good train connections from Amsterdam Schiphol this airport to the Ede-Wageningen train station. Duration of this trip is is bit more than approximately 1 hour (please see http://www.ns.nl/reisplanner-v2/index.shtml for timetables). From there Buy a train ticket at the airport. From Ede-Wageningen station you can take a bus /or taxi into to the busstation of Wageningen (10-20 minutes or so) where the hotel is (central bus station (this will take about 15-20 minutes). Dutch taxi's are expensive. If you plan to use the bus during your stay it is best to buy a "strippenkaart". You can get it at the airport or at the train station.

Visitors usually stay in the hotel called "Hof van Wageningen" (used to be the WICC hotel), (see http://www.hofvanwageningen.nl/?language=enImage Modified), which is only a short walk (10 minutes walk ) from the Wageningen central bus station. Please make your own reservation.

The bus from Ede-Wageningen trainstation train station stops at Alterra, as do busses departing from the central bus station.
