The page BMA in Fews gives a basic schematic view on how the data transfer from FEWS to BMA module and viceversa should be like.
In the kickoff meeting, the above mentioned two methods of developement in FEWS was discussed. From the development point of view, the second option is easier since at present the export timeseries functionality can export the last current forecast only. However another FEWS project requires the similar functionality i.e. export all forecasts with certain time frame. Hence would be preferable to consider BMA Model development as seperate entity in similar manner as developement of other Model adapters such as Sobek, ISIS etc.
Further during the developement of BMA module, if possible, it would be nice if BMA module can be runned independently and seperate from FEWS. The idea is to use BMA module under other system such as MATROOS.
