Nonlinear Wave Loads on Floating Offshore Wind Turbine Foundations

Validation of waves2Foam, a toolbox developed by Niels Jacobsen for the CFD package OpenFOAM, with respect to wave-structure interaction. First a thorough two-dimensional validation was performed after which a proof of concept was given, this was based on model experiments with a floating wind turbine, which were performed at the MARIN basin. The thesis is connected to the TO2-floating wind project.
