    Welcome to the MinIO Wiki. Here you can find all necessary information on the Deltares object repository.

    What is MinIO?

    MinIO is a High-Performance Object Storage released under GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. It is API compatible with the Amazon S3 cloud storage service. It is capable of working with unstructured data such as photos, videos, log files, backups, and container images with the maximum supported object size being 50TB.

    Using separately or together with your GIT repository

    MinIO can be used separately to store and share project files in a cloud-environment as you would use the Deltares P-drive to store project files. 
    It is also possible to link your MinIO bucket to your GIT code repository and use it as a Large File Store. How to do this is explained here

    Costs

    There are costs involved in using MinIO. Therefor you are required to provide a project number when requesting a MinIO bucket. 

    The costs are the same as for using the P-drive:

    When requesting a new Harbor project you must provide the following information:

    • Access level: Public or Private (defaults to Private)
    • If you require groups:
      • Group name
      • Role: Guest, Developers, Master or ProjectAdmin

    Product Owner: Project administrator
