Kusthoogte (Kustlidar) bathymetry data in OpenEarth:

1. Raw data + scripts (ESRI *.adf + Python)
   • Raw ascii data + Matlab tools for conversion to netCDF
     https://svn.oss.deltares.nl/repos/openearthrawdata/trunk/rijkswaterstaat/kustlidar/ (register at oss.deltares.nl). This is a dedicated python script that can handle the ESRI *.adf raw data with GDAL.
2. Standardized data (netCDF on OPeNDAP). The netCDF files can be viewed and analyzed interactively with UCIT.
   • 2012 release: production: http://opendap.deltares.nl/thredds/catalog/opendap/rijkswaterstaat/kusthoogte/catalog.html, processed with the new nc_gen in Matlab OpenEarthTools. This new release now has 80% (37/46 items) conformity with ISO meta-data standards with ncISO (we'll aim for more in release 2013 next year). Note that we renamed it to Kusthoogte, the name used by originator Rijkswaterstaat (instead of Kustlidar).

3. Visualized data (kml) (only 2010 release)

   • All Kusthoogtedata as tiled pngs, the same technology that Google Earth uses for all aereal imagery: http://dtvirt5.deltares.nl/kml/rijkswaterstaat/kustlidar.kml
     Note there is a small kick-up in this release: Zoom out to until you see the entire globe, and then zoom in (Google Earth must first show uppermost Kusthoogte tile).
