For this dataset see the background documentation by TNO. This dataset was created as part of the EU project MESH. The D10/D50/D90 use only the sand fraction, excluding the mud and gravel fractions. The interpolation uses Kriging, and uses the local bathymetry. A better dataset is currently in preparation as part of TNO's own marine mapping initiative, and is done in collaboration with EMODNet.
