The MSc thesis was created by an initiative between Deltares in the Netherlands and
IMEDEA (Instituto Mediterráneo de Estudios Avanzados) in Spain. The cooperation
consists in sharing with the other part central components necessaries to complete the
project. IMEDEA provides the datasets of different locations in the Balearic Islands in
Spain, as well as knowledge about Posidonia Oceanica. On the other hand, Deltares
provides the knowledge about nearshore processes and vegetation applied to the
modelling tool, for this case XBeach-Veg.
