h1. OpenEarth
This is the home page for the OpenEarth space at http://openearth.deltares.nl.

h3. OpenEarth wiki philosophy
This *wiki* is intended to be a low-level area to share documents, links and knowledge snippets related to management of Data, Models and Tools. For the more *sophisticated management* of Data, Models and Tools the OpenEarth SubVersion repositories are used. The Data, Models and Tools and tools in these repositories will be shared via various levels of web services employing international standards like [netCDF|http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/], [CF parameter meta-data| http://cf-pcmdi.llnl.gov/], [EPSG|http://www.epsg.org/] spatial meta-data [codes|http://www.epsg-registry.org/], [INSPIRE owner meta-data|http://www.inspire-geoportal.eu], [OPeNDAP|http://opendap.org/] (as running operationally for Rijkswaterstaat [MATROOS|http://matroos.deltares.nl/]) and [opengis|http://www.opengeospatial.org/] web map/feature/coverage servcies ([WMS|http://www.opengeospatial.org/standards/wms], [WCS|http://www.opengeospatial.org/standards/wcs], [WFS|http://www.opengeospatial.org/standards/wfs]). The data collection procedure and the relation between those standards is explained in the figure below and in the [Micore|http://www.micore.eu] [Data Standards] document.
