A salt-free IJsselmeer

An increase in chloride content is a major problem. To obtain sufficient drinking water, freshwater supplies are needed. In addition, the majority of (agricultural) crops depend on fresh groundwater.
To reduce the inflow of salt water to the IJsselmeer, a bubble screen is set up in the IJsselmeer area. This bubble screen generates a curtain of air bubbles that reverses the inflow of salt water.
It is my job to provide general guidelines which can help with designing and accomplishing the bubble screen.
