OpenMI at Open Water Symposium

OpenMI was presented in a few talks and was mentioned quite a few times.
One of the workshops covered C#-DotSpatial. This new version, a follow up of the ActiveX control, looks quite nice. It will be used in Pipistrelle.

Status OGC

The Association decided to go for the fast track.
A Memorandum of Understanding to be signed not too long from now.
First scanning by Standa, leading to reformatting of the documentationm, maybe some additional documentation. No changes needed to the standard itself. However, we do need a test program that loads a component and checks whether it is OpenMI compliant.
Standa will be in the lead for the technical part. He will ask the OATC members who can contribute (and who has time). At the AGM the key players guaranteed to contribute 50 man days all together (about 10 per partner).

SDK's / GUI's

Fluid Earth SDK/Pipistrelle

First half a of june the OATC will be able to play around with a first version. It will be able to run 2.0 compositions. The adapted outputs will not be covered yet.

Oatc c# SDK/GUI

Hardly any progress in the last month. Actually our main interest is shifting from the OATC's SDK to the Fluid Earth SDK. Adrian will mail the team when he uploads a version that is worthwhile to have a look at. This will be done before the next meeting.
At the next meeting each member will have the Fluid Earth the sources at hand. We will try to set up a webex (Standa will check if the DHI webex software can be used by externals).
For now we will leave the OATC SDK in svn as it is, but we must let the OAEC decide in the near future what to do with the OATC SDK. The OAEC requiers that there must be at least one open source SDK.

Oatc java SDK/GUI

Work in progress (at Alterra), slower then desired, but there is limited time. Focus on the fundamentals (the Quant./Qual./ElementSet etc.).

Real test case for OpenMI 2.0

On the agenda for next meeting.

Other issues

None of today.
