If you start SOBEK you will be presented with the following screen. This is DeltaShell, the unified (graphical) framework for SOBEK, Delft3D Flexible Mesh. The most important screens are numbered. This is the default layout, but you can re-arrange all windows to suite your personal taste.

  1. Project explorer - Manage project and models here. This is the go-to location for quick access model data.
  2. Map explorer - Manage visible layers in the central map.
  3. Properties window - View and edit object properties. When selecting something in other windows, its properties show up in this window.
  4. Messages window - All messages, warnings, errors and python output will show up here.
  5. Central map - Start page, the map and documentation browser
  6. Toolbox - Manage tools, like Python scripts and quick access to models and data items.
  7. Ribbon
