  3. Map view: visualisaes the bathymetry and model on a map
  4. Working space: editing the input files

Top menu

The Top menu describes The Top menu describes the most generic functions, which allows switching between different toolboxes, bathymetries, coordinate systems and saving working directories and files generated during your Delft Dashboard working session. The Top menu also includes a number of features which allows to Zoom in, Zoom out, Pan and refresh the bathymetry visualized in the Map View.

Model menu

The Delft3D menu in The Delft3D -FLOW menu in Delft Dashboard resembles the interface of the Delft3D-FLOW modelling suite. This menu can be used to switch between different menu items which allows the editing of different sections of the Delft3D-FLOW steering file (so called MDF-file) i.e. including or excluding physical processes, define physical and numerical parameters, and add monitoring stations. The main difference with respect to the Delft3D-FLOW interface is the Toolbox Tab, which does not exist in Delft3D-Flow. Using this Tab it is possible to switch between different available toolboxes available trough the Toolbox Tab on the Top the Top Menu. As default, Delft Dashboard starts from the Model Maker Toolbox.

Besides the Delft3D-FLOW model also Delft3D-WAVE, DFLOW FM and XBeach are supported.

Map view

The Map View window The Map View window visualizes the map with the bathymetry and/or topography, which will be used to construct the model. As default, Delft Dashboard starts up with the GEBCO 2008 world bathymetry in background.

The editing of the steering file, as well as the definition of grid extension, resolution and set-up of the model bathymetry happen within the Working the Working space, at the bottom of the Delft Dashboard home page.
