The Tsunami Toolbox makes it possible to draw a fault line and computes the resulting tsunami with 3 three steps.
- Determine the earthquake
- Draw a fault line
- Determine the parameters of the earthquake like for example the depth
- Click on the map to determine where the earthquake takes place (see first Figure)
- Load tsunami from a *xml file. This is basically a list of points which decribes the earthquake.
- Draw a fault line
- Computes the tsunami (water level initial displacement induced by an earthquake). This can takes some time and will result in an extra figure representing the water level displacement. (see second Figure)
- Run the Delft3D-FLOW simulation
