When Delft Dashboard is started, four different area's can be distinguished

  1. Top menu: generic functions like coordinate systems or bathymetry types
  2. Model menu: specific model settings for the current (active) model (e.g. Delft3D-FLOW or XBeach)
  3. Map view: visualizes the bathymetry and model setup on a map
  4. Working space: editing the input files

Top menu

The Top menu describes The Top menu describes the most generic functions, which allows switching between different toolboxes, bathymetries, coordinate systems and saving working directories and files generated during your Delft Dashboard working session. The Top menu also includes a number of features which allows Zoom in, Zoom out, Pan and refresh the bathymetry visualized in the Map View.

The editing of the steering file, as well as the definition of grid extension, resolution and set-up of the model bathymetry happens within the Working space, at the bottom of the Delft Dashboard home page. It depends which Model menu is open. When Toolbox is selected one will work in the active Delft Dashboard toolbox (e.g. Model Maker toolbox), otherwise one can change settings of the input files of the numerical model.
