An operator client is a mode in FEWS can be used whereby the FEWS operator logs in to an online system which then syncronises with your local interface (operator client). Tasks allocated by the operator client are then sent to the online system for processing.

Root configuration files

Root configuration files identify which instance of DELFT-FEWS you are using and whether it is in 'standalone' or 'operator client' mode. The files contained include:

global.properties (describes global properties relating to the location of folders and other system properties)
Log4jConfig (describes options for compliation of log file log.txt)
clientConfig (describes if the system is standalone or operator client)
fews-splash (display picture on startup)

When running in operator client mode the following addtional files are required in the root config:

synchProfiles (describes the amount of data syncronised)
synchChannels (describes syncronisation channels with online system)
