IntroductionThe DELFTDelft-FEWS configuration guide provides the advanced user of DELFTDelft-FEWS with the information required to set-up and maintain a configuration of DELFTDelft-FEWS. The objective of the guide is to be used both as a reference manual during the development and maintenance of an implementation of DELFTDelft-FEWS, as well as to provide some of the background philosophy on how to go about setting up a forecasting system. It is expected that the reader of this guide has a basic understanding of DELFTDelft-FEWS and its structure. If not, the "tips & tricks page for new configurators" might be useful to visit first. To To understand how to configure DELFTDelft-FEWS, a good understanding of the structure of the configuration is required. The first part of this guide therefore gives an introduction into the different parts of configuration. In the second part of the guide the concepts used in DELFT-FEWS for handling data are explained.Section 3 gives details on configuration of system components such as display settings while chapter 4 describes the various , see the following table: montoring locations). Section 5 provides documentation on the 'module instances' available in DELFT-FEWS for example interpoltaion monitoring locations). | E.g. Locations, LocationSets, ModuleInstances, WorkflowDescriptors, Branches, Parameters, Grids, Filters, TimeSteps, Qualifiers, Polygons, Topologies, Thresholds, Historical Events. | 05 Module Configuration | Configuration of available Modules, e.g. 'module instances' | E.g. interpolation of data or how to configure an external model such as ISIS (using the General |
Adaptor Adapter Module) including how these can be configured to |
acheive achieve the required functionality. |
Section 6 explains how are linked into logical tasks through configuration of workflows. |
In section 7 the configuration is discussed. Section 8 discusses mapping Section 9 discusses handling In chapter 10 some elements of configuring DELFT are discussedIn section given on how to set-up a forecasting system. |
This is to give some idea on how to approach configuring a complex system such as DELFT-FEWS. | Approaches for more advanced setup possibilities. | 12 Configuration management Tool | A brief guide in the use of the configuration management module to support configuration |
is given in section 12 Section 13 details the addtional additonal additional modules available through |
DELFT-FEWS. Section 14, finally, gives some tips and tricks on configuring DELFT-FEWS. Throughout the text, relevant details to be taken into account in configuration is given in text boxes.
