Delft-FEWS and the OpenArchive Deltares Open Archive can easily be linked. Delft-FEWS has a lot of possibilities to export data  to the OpenArchive Deltares Open Archive which makes it easy to store data in the OpenArchive Deltares Open Archive from FEWS. At the same time Delft-FEWS can access the data stored in the OpenArchive Deltares Open Archive in several ways. Data from the OpenArchive Deltares Open Archive can be used in DelfDelft-FEWS from viewing purposes but it is also possible to download data from the archive and use the data in, for example, transformations and/or the general adapter. In the chapters sections below we will first explain how data from the Delft-FEWS can be exported to the OpenArchiveDeltares Open Archive. We will also explain how to connect from a Stand Alone or an Operator Client to the OpenArchive Deltares Open Archive and use the data for viewing or calculation purposes.

Deltares Open Archive

The configuration of the data export to the OpenArchive Deltares Open Archive is quite similar to the configuration of a regular data export in Delft FEWS. The data export is executed by a regular FEWS workflow in a FEWS FSS. The data directly written by the FSS to the data directory of the archive. The harvester of the archive will detect during its next run that new data was added to archive and update the catalogue accordingly.

Historical events

It is possible to define historical events by using the archive display. Historical events are a special type of event. If data in the archive is marked as being part of a historical event, the archive will export this data to the folder /root archive/historical event. FEWS will periodically run an import for historical events to import historical events from this folder. After the import the historical events are available in the time series dialog.

If a historical event is available for a time series then the historical event buttonImage Added will be shown (see image above).

After clicking on this button the display above appears. A list of historical events which is available for this displayed time series will shown.

After selecting one or more events the time series for these events will be displayed in the time series dialog. By using the arrow buttons Image Added and Image Added the time series can be shifted to the left or right. The historical event will be shifted by a single time step to the left or right when using the buttons. When multiple time series are shown the smallest time step will be used. If you display is zoomed out then another rule will be used. As long as displayed period divided by 100 is smaller than the time step of the displayed time series then the time step of the time series will be used. But as soon as this is no longer the case then the displayed period divided by 100 will be used when shifting the historical events.Hoe te configureren?
