The JONSMOD 2016 conference will be was held at 10-12 May 2016 in Oslo at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway) and will be hosted by Lars Petter Røed (larspr@met.no). Registration will start on Tuesday 10 May 2015 at 9:00 hrs. At 10:00 hrs the meeting will start and will finish on Thursday the 12th 14:00 hrs.

The conference was chaired by Lars Petter Røed and was co-sponsored by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, celebrating its 150 years anniversary this year, and the Department of Geosciences, University of Oslo.

JONSMOD 2016 papers have appeared in Ocean Dynamics in the form of a "Topical Collection - Jonsmod 2016"; see http://www.springer.com/earth+sciences+and+geography/oceanography/journal/10236. . Pierre Garreau acted as "editor in chief" and Ocean Dynamics contact point, while Ulf Gräwe and Martin Verlaan were co-editors.
