The basic of the program is the Surface line.
The user has to create a surface line with ascending x-value from channel side of the embankment till the dike top at the polder side. The
The riverside has to be on the left .
as shown in the figure below.
The original surface line as used in To determine the surface line such as the channel depth, the slope angle... etc, D-FLOW SLIDE simplifies the original surface line from DAM or Ringtoets (WTI) , as can be seen in the figure belowcontains a whole set of characteristics points. Flow Slide needs a subset.
Please enter your Surface line according this picture by using points B, C, D, G and J
...
The following 5 characteristics points are obligated in D-FlowSlide in the order 1 till 5 with ascending Xwith increasing x-value.
- Bottom river channel (B)
- Insert river channel (C)
- Dike toe at river (D)
- Dike top at river (G)
- Dike top at polder (J)
Input screen for the coordinates L and Z and the characteristic points
You may, of course add additional points to describe the real surface line.
By You can re-order the points, ascending or descending, by clicking on the table header L(enght) of Z(height level)
You get the real order the point, as shown in the drawings, by "Ctrl + click"
It is not impossible to enter a malformed geometry.
The description of these parameters can be found on the page Input parameters.
, you can only filter the points, but not order them.
The program checks on a malformed surface.
Messages will be displayed in the window "Validation messages".
