Introduction

DELFT-FEWS allows open integration with various external data sources and modules. Many of these will require identification of locations and parameters using a native definition. DELFT-FEWS allows internal location Id's, parameter id's, flags and units to be mapped to external id's.

For each external data source, or each module, a different set of ID' mappings may be defined. In specific cases a mapping may be used on exporting data to the module and a different mapping in importing data from the module.

Three types of mapping can be defined;

  • IdMaps definition for mapping location ID's and Parameter ID's
  • FlagConversions definition for mapping data quality flags
  • UnitConversions definition for mapping data units
