For this tutorial, we have implemented two different methods to create a Sobek 3 water flow model:
By importing an already existing SOBEK 2.1x flow model. This first way is much faster but it requires you to have all the files corresponding to an already existing 2.1x flow model.
By generating from scratch the flow model step by step from several source files (e.g. GIS shape files and csv files). This method is slower but it gives you a better insight in how each of the features can be built by using external separate files.
You can choose either way to walk through the tutorial. You will be able to follow the next steps of the scripting tutorial without any problem regardless the method you choose to build the flow model. Choose one of the methods by clicking on the corresponding link placed underneath:
