Motivation
This workshop is part of an inventory of the needs for operational decision support in application to water resources systems in the Netherlands. This includes the prediction-based management of flood events and the cost-efficient daily water management, among others. Results of the workshop will support the assessment of existing tools as well as the design and implementation of next generation software for a smarter water management within the scope the ongoing TKI project.
The target group of this workshop are regional and federal water authorities as well as consultants in this field.
Agenda
- Introduction to the TKI project "Multi-stage Stochastic and Robust Optimization of Flood Mitigation Measures under Forecast Uncertainty" (motivation, objectives, deliverables, third-party participation, etc.)
- Requirements of the stakeholders as regards the real-time control of water systems (Think of what you would like to have in place in about 5 years)
- Identification of a number of representative test cases for further analysis
- Discussion of follow-up activities: further participation of stakeholders, time schedule, …
