Assessing the impact of climate change on the reliability of port infrastructure

Climate change driven effects such as sea level rise, changing storm surges and wave heights are all expected to have an impact on the reliability of embankments and uay walls found at ports. With the help of probabilistic failure models, these impacts and potential weak points are identified. To counter possible increases in failure probabilities of embankments and quay walls, structural adaptations and investment pathways are developed and trialed.
