Existing Sobek file format stores
- Cross section definition
- Cross section locations (on the branch)
A cross section definition can be used at more than one location.
Friction parameters are stored in friction.dat
friction is defined at
- branches/branch locations (constant or Q/H dependent)
- cross sections (different roughnes for each segment)
In new version of sobek only constant friction is supported. Q or H dependent friction does not appear to be in use frequently.
friction defined for structures, overland flow etc will currently not be imported.
