The user has to create a surface line with ascending x-value from channel side of the embankment till the dike top at the polder side. The riverside has to be on the left.

 

To determine the surface line such as the channel depth, the slope angle... etc, D-FLOW SLIDE simplifies the original surface line from DAM or Ringtoets (WTI), as can be seen in the figure below.

 

Please enter your Surface line  according this picture by using points B, C, D, G and J

 

The following 5 characteristics points are obligated in D-FlowSlide in the order 1 till 5 with ascending X-value

  1. Bottom river channel (B)
  2. Insert river channel (C)
  3. Dike toe at river (D)
  4. Dike top at river (G)
  5. Dike top at polder (J)

 

You can re-order the points, ascending or descending, by clicking on the table header L(enght) of Z(height level)

You get the real order the point, as shown in the drawings,  by "Ctrl + click"


It is not impossible to enter a malformed geometry.
