Deltares is a Dutch independent research institute for water, soil and subsurface issues. Gram Vikas
Gram Vikas in Orissa, India, is a well established NGO and rural development organization working in Orissa, one of the poorest states of India, since 1979. Gram Vikas has striven to prove over the past decade and a half that communities can lead a healthy and dignified life by working together to address the issue of water supply and sanitation. Unique to Gram Vikas is the adoption of the social inclusion approach wherein all families, irrespective of their economic, social and caste considerations, build the same type of toilet and bathrooms. MANTRA (movement and action network for transformation of rural areas) is a development initiative being implemented by Gram Vikas in more than 500 villages in 16 districts of Orissa, focusing on development of the habitat and strengthening of village institutions, through interventions revolving around water and sanitation. www.gramvikas.org

Government of the Netherlands, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The ministry of Foreign Affairs, government of The Netherlands, has launched the millennium agreements project; Project 2015: getting closer to the Millennium Development Goals. The Millennium Agreements are a product of the Pact of Schokland, signed by numerous groups and individuals on 30 June 2007. It includes several secondary agreements which have since been implemented, sometimes with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
