Overview

Imports time series data from Scottish & Southern Electric (SSE) ASCII files.

SSE file characteristics

  • SSE File format is expected to contain 4 columns with information (location, value, date-time, unit)
  • File must be ',' seperated
  • All comment lines start with a '*'
  • Date format in the files must be of the form 'dd/MM/yyyy HH:mm:ss'
  • The data file has no parameter in th efile, the unit is used as external parameter Id

Configuration (Example)

A complete import module configuration consists of an ID Mapping file, an Import Module Instance file. Unitconversion can also be included while importing. A complete set of configuration files for importing SSE files with unit conversion is attached SSE_Import.zip.

The following example of an Import Module Instance will import the time series as non-equidistant series.

IdMapFiles/

Defines mappings between SSE and FEWS parameters and locations.

Important in this configuration is that the external locations are location names.
