Description
The TidalBalanceReview transformation creates a output time series tideBalance which will be the input for AdjustTide transformation. First the peaks and valleys in the observed time series and the forecast time series are matched. The difference between the observed stage and the simulated stage will be the balance associated with the peak or valley. This procedure will apply for the part of the time series before T0. After T0 the time of the peaks and valleys will be determined by identifying the peaks and valleys in the simulated time series and correcting the time of the peak or valley with the lag of the observed tidal time series with the simulated time series. The balance will be calculated by multiplying the balance of the associated peak or valley of the previous cycle with 0.8.
