Edit relation curves

With the validation functions 'Computation of Relation Curves' and 'Regression' it is possible to define relations between two or more time series. These relations are calculated by fitting functions through the data of the series. These series relations can be edited through the <Edit Series Relations> function of the Entry and Edit function map. It is not possible to add new relations within this form. In the 'Regression' function, relations other than polynomial can be saved. In this function only relations of the polynomial type, such as produced by the 'Computation of Relation Curves' can be edited.

Select a series from the Series codes list box. HYMOS will now try to find all series relations in your database for the selected series. If series are found, the relation is shown in the <relations> list box. A relation consists of a few characteristic codes:

  • the station ID, parameter code and time step of the base series
  • the station ID, parameter code and time step of the second series
  • the start date and end date of the validity period of the relation

The user can select a relation and change the parameters or validity period of this relation. Do not forget to press the <Save> button after making changes otherwise your changes will be lost.

Press <Save> to save the entered information in the database, <Delete> to delete a series relation from the database, <Close> to leave the window without saving.
