Water quality tests

General

The function described here can be applied to check the consistency of one parameter or a combination of parameters. In the spreadsheet a relation between parameters must be established and stored under a name in the HYMOS database. It works different than most other HYMOS functions in the way that the stored relation is based on parameters and not on series. This makes it possible to use the relation for other stations too, considered that this station contains series for the selected parameters.

When a relation has been made the function can be executed and the results shown in tabular or graphical form.

Station codes

A station can be selected by pointing with your mouse on the station and pressing your left mouse button. Only one station can be selected in one computation.

Test Parameters

In this frame all the components are presented for making relations between parameters. Enter Parameter ID's in the spreadsheet together with a coefficient for multiplication. For each group a combination of parameters may be entered, it is however not required to enter parameters in all groups. Each group can be multiplied by a multiplier and a constant value can be added by entering a value in the constant text box.
On top of the Test Parameter frame you can select the mathematical rules for comparing the groups. It is possible to add two groups, divide groups or select conditions.

Conditional relations

The "Conditional relations" combo box contains all "Conditional Check" relations available in the HYMOS database. When you want to use an existing relation from the database select a relation from this combo box by pressing the drop down button and selecting an existing relation from the list. HYMOS will fill all components from the "Test Parameters" frame as saved by the relation.
If you want to add a new name just type it in the combo box.

Save

Press the <Save> button to save a relation in the HYMOS database. HYMOS will check if a relation with the same name (entered in the conditional relations combo box). If a relation with the same name exists the user is given the option to replace this relation or save the new relation under a different name.

Delete

Press the <Delete> button to delete a selected relation from the HYMOS database.

New

Press the <New> button to empty all fields in the "test parameters" frame.

Execute

For executing the function, press the <Execute> button. HYMOS will first check the function and search the database for availability of series. If the selected station does not contain series for all parameters of the relation the function can not be executed, HYMOS will give a warning.
