The Concentric Arches model, as described in the thesis of Van Eekelen, 2015 and Van Eekelen et al., 2013. The picture visualizes the analytical Concentric Arches (CA) model developed for the design of the geosynthetic reinforcement of a piled embankment. The CA model was adopted in the Dutch Design Guideline for basal reinforced piled embankments (CUR226, 2015) which can be downloaded at www.sbrcurnet.nl.
