Install the STREAM Library

The versions of the STREAM Library can be found in the section Downloads.

Unzip

The library is delivered as an Zip-archive, which can be expanded using a Zip-tool as Winzip, 7-zip or the Windows builtin feature 'Compressed Folder'. Choose a suitable location for the library.

Set path

To be able to use the library, the root of the library and its subfolders need to be added to the Matlab path, see http://www.mathworks.com/access/helpdesk/help/techdoc/ref/pathtool.html.
Note that the order in which libraries occur in the path may be important.

This can also be done using a startup file. This is a file called startup.m placed in the Matlab starting directory, which is called when starting up Matlab. Type >>doc startup for more information.
This is also an easy way to adjust the path if the user doesn't have enough rights on the system.

Remarks

When installing an updated version of the STREAM Library on your system, it is advisable to:

  • save the file stream.ini
  • remove the original library before installing the new version
  • No labels
