Introduction

The 'Shoreline' toolbox allows exporting of allows to export shoreline data applied in Dashboardof Delft Dashboard. Delft Dashboard makes uses use of the World Vector Shoreline (National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency - NGA).The resolution of this dataset data set is about 500 m.

 

Usage of the toolbox

A An shoreline file (.ldb) can be generate using the following steps:

  1. Define a Define the polygon in which you would like to have shoreline. This is possible in two ways from which you want to extract the shoreline location. The two alternatives are:
    1. “Draw Polygon” to select newly create a polygon inside which extracting the shoreline. . Double click to close the polygon.
    2. “Load Polygon” to load an existing polygon (*.pol”pol). “Export” to export the polygong polygon in *.ldb” ldb format.
  2. Define the scale 
  3. Click on  “Export” on  “Export” to export the polygon in a ldb-format
