On Linux, some distributions may require that you install specific dependencies for your system, most likely these would be related to the Vulcan 3D framework used by Chromium, for example when using RHEL 8 compatible distributions under Windows WLS you would need to install the packages "mesa-vulkan-drivers" and "libgbm" where on a full Ubuntu system using Gnome desktop this is not necessary. You may need to use a search engine to find such dependencies.of this will be provided when you install the chromium standalone browser, for RedHat 8 compatible systems use:

  • sudo dnf install epel-release-latest-8.noarch
  • sudo dnf install chromium
  • sudo dnf install dbus-x11
