- A JMS provider such as JBoss 4 / 5 or ActiveMQ is required but is allowed to be on a separate server. Since the MQ server may need a lot of cpu / io, it is recommended that no other heavy io processes take place on the same machine.

JMS Server
Java Messaging Service (JMS) controls a large part of the communication between the components.
