Introduction
Navigation charts can be a good and reliable data source, especial in situations with limited amounts of bathymetric data.
Usage of the toolbox
The 'Navigation Charts' toolbox can be used to upload more detailed bathymetry information to the model. A number of “Available Databases” will appear in the Working Space. Use “Select Chart” to identify a specific dataset using the mouse. “Export Shorelines”, “Export Contours” and “Export Soundings” can be used to export shorelines, contours and specific soundings to ASCII file. . As can be seen in the Figure below the yellow areas represent the shore / above MSL.
