The JONSMOD 2016 conference was held at 10-12 May 2016 in the premises of Oslo Centre for Interdisciplinary Environmental and Social Research (CIENS) in Gaustadalleen 21, Oslo, Norway. The conference was chaired by Lars Petter Røed and was co-sponsored by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, celebrating its 150 years anniversary this year, and the Department of Geosciences, University of Oslo.

Instruction for publication
A special issue of Ocean Dynamics will appear with JONSMOD 2016 papers. Pierre Garreau acts as "editor in chief" and Ocean Dynamics contact point, while Ulf Gräwe and Martin Verlaan will be co-editors.
The "Topical Collection - Jonsmod 2016" of OCEAN DYNAMICS is now open for submission; see http://www.springer.com/earth+sciences+and+geography/oceanography/journal/10236. For submission you will have to select an "article type". Then, you can choose "Topical Collection - Jonsmod 2016" . The deadline is October the 31st, but you can submit right now!
