ModuleConfigFiles are the configuration files which represent the actual processing steps that are part of a workflow. A workflow is referring to the names of the ModuleConfigFiles in a specific sequence. This sequence determines the order of the processing steps. All standard ModuleConfigFiles should be generated using some spreadsheet Tools which have been setup by Deltares. This spreadsheet Tool makes use of some VB Macros and some templates to generate the ModuleConfig xml-files based on data that has been specified in some sheets.

The tools to generate these ModuleConfigFiles are available in the attachments. These tools have been updated the 28th of January 2009. The updated versions asks if the remove action should be started after generation of the ModuleInstances for the Modflow run. The spreadsheet will generate ModuleConfigFiles with equidistant timeseries and extent the sheets for statistics and budgets. The NGMS_ModInst_generator_FulLic+S v4.04 spreadsheet contains the Macros and a worked out example for WestMidlandsWorfe.

The following links will provide a detailed explanation of elements in the spreadsheet:

  1. generate ModuleConfigFiles for Modflow run
  2. generate ModuleConfigFiles for discharges of tributaries (step 8)
  3. generate ModuleConfigFiles for interpolations
  4. generate ModuleConfigFiles for budgets
  5. generate ModuleConfigFiles for statistics
  6. generate ModuleConfigFiles for comparison
  7. generate ModuleConfigFiles for archiving

ModuleInstances generate data (TimeSeriesSets) which are stored in the database. This data can be downloaded to the Operator Client dependent on the synchLevel defined at the moduleInstance. In other words: the ModuleInstance defines the synchLevel assigned to the data. The user login profile determines which synchLevels are downloaded.

Within NGMS, the following synchLevels are applied:
