Survey
Component Status - ILinkableComponent uses Status property to manage it's current state, is it a good idea?
Events - Do you think it is easier to manage event handling using .NET events?
Quantitative and Qualitative Data
IValueSet - OpenMI 2.0 uses IValueSet representing a set of values in a 2D way (time and space dependent).
Values property in exchange items - OpenMI 2.0 provides a way to get or set values using Value property. Value property uses IValueSet as it's type.
Making IExchangeItem an entity providing access to Time, Space and ValueDefinition instead of passing it using combination of IExchangeItem, ILink and ILinkableComponent
ILink is removed - In the OpenMI 2.0 exchange items are linked directly using Provider / Consumers properties.
Making OpenMI more OGC friendly - Several changes were made to bring OpenMI more close to OGC standards (SpatialReferenceSystemWkt, HasZ, HasM). Will it be useful?
Component State Management - see IManageState, IByteStateConvertor
Changing IDataOperation to IDerivedOutput
ITime - In order to simplify time management the ITimeSpan and ITimeStamp were merged into a single interface ITime.
Java version - Is release of Java version of OpenMI important for you?
Ease of Use - How can you evaluate easy of use of OpenMI 2.0 compare to 1.4.
Quality - Did you encounter any errors when using new version of the OpenMI?
