This manual is the translation of the final submittal of the research project CAPWAT-II that was carried out by Deltares and TU Delft/CiTG in the period between 2007 and 2010. After a first Dutch version released in June 2010, comments have been received and incorporated into subsequent releases. In 2010 and 2011, the Dutch applied research foundation Stowa commissioned the organisation of several workshops to transfer knowledge and to stimulate using this manual. Besides that, knowledge distribution has taken place via specific mini-courses of RIONED. Subsequently, the second Dutch edition was published in March 2012.
