The goal of this exercise is get tidal station data from an external server (http://opendap.deltares.nl) and compare it with the results of a model.
Tutorial outline
After having performed the tutorial you will get an impression of how to do the following actions :
- Import a model from a mdu file
- Download a NetCdf file and read its data
- Create list of stations (by creating a python class)
- Create a view for a FM model and stations
- Add monitoring points for stations in envelope
- Run a FM model (and set its time parameters)
- Extract timeseries from the model output and NetCdf file and plot both in one chart
Materials that are needed for this tutorial are in this zip file. These need to placed in the scripting folder of the toolbox.
