Introduction

The check on safety against liquefaction consists of passing through three phases, where the depth increases every time:

• Simple check according to the recommandations of CUR-113
• Global check according to the [Technic Report for Liquefaction|GEO:Literature^Technisch Rapport Voorland Zettingsvloeiing.doc] of Deltares, based on the VTV-2006
• Detailed check, as described in the [Technic Report for Liquefaction|GEO:Literature^Technisch Rapport Voorland Zettingsvloeiing.doc]
• Advanced check, using existing programs of Deltares:
  • SLIQ2D for liquefaction
  • HMBreach/HMTurb for breaching
