This page describes how to add data from a csv or xlsx file to Google Maps just by dragging and dropping. How easy can it be. If you have a csv or xlsx with latitude and longitude fields you can drag this file into the Maps Engine of Google Earth. These are the steps to take. The first thing you see when you have logged into Google Maps (sorry gmail account is necessary) is this screen.

create new map


click import


drag file and choose the appropriate columns


play around with the various options
